Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is not happy about his team's effort, and ahead of a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, he made a tough choice.
If you've been watching the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, then you know that the team has been painfully mediocre.
Their record is 5-5-1, and it doesn't feel like this team has the juice to do anything of significance in the postseason. It's still early, but the team has no identity.
Tonight, they have an opportunity to change that against the Philadelphia Flyers. The team hsa been in Philly since yesterday, and they have been put to work.

According to David Alter, it is very rare that the team has a practice and a full morning skate the following day. However, today, they did just that.
Clearly, Berube wants to send a message to his team. Their effort has not been good enough, and he needs to see more from his guys.
Whether or not this tactic actually works still remains to be seen. There is still a chance that the team has a bad game.
The Leafs are a team that has also dealt with a lot of injuries so far this season, and that can be a huge part of the reason why there has been a lack of success.
Once the team starts to get players back, then we might just see a resurgence back to last season's play.
Whatever the case may be, there is no better time to get back on track than right now.
