The Toronto Maple Leafs brought in players like Brandon Carlo and Scott Laughton at the trade deadline and Max Domi has some thoughts on their contributions so far.
Brandon Carlo was acquired via trade with the Boston Bruins for Fraser Minten and a first-round pick in 2026.
Secondly, the Maple Leafs were able to get Scott Laughton for Nikita Grebenkin and a first-round pick in 2027.
These were solid moves to address the team's needs although unfortunately, it has not led to any good results for the Maple Leafs.
They lost again tonight to the Ottawa Senators and if you are a fan, you cannot help but be concerned about this team heading into the playoffs.

Laughton and Carlo, in particular, have been struggling during this stretch and it brings into question whether or not these trades were smart.
Well, Max Domi is not pressing the panic button just yet as he had an interesting perspective on the new Leafs stars.

These new players have only been with the Maple Leafs for eight days so it is going to take some time for everyone to get acclimated.
Having said that, they need to get it together fast otherwise this Maple Leafs fanbase may just have a complete meltdown.
The panic button doesn't need to be smashed just yet but we are definitely getting there.
