Calgary Flames forward Nazem Kadri is being implicated in numerous trade rumors, and the Toronto Maple Leafs have found themselves at the center of these reports.

Nazem Kadri is a former Toronto Maple Leafs forward whom the fans adore, and that is probably never going to change.
Amid rumors that the Calgary Flames could trade Kadri, there have been Leafs fans begging general manager Brad Treliving to make a move.
In fact, the Leafs have expressed interest in Kadri, while the center himself has reportedly vowed to waive his no-trade clause for the Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens.

Unfortunately, the Leafs' odds of acquiring Kadri have taken a serious beating, according to a new report from Nick Kypreos.
This is because Kadri's stock is reportedly higher than ever. As a result, the Flames would be asking for a huge haul, and the Leafs simply don't have enough assets.
Kadri's stock has never been higher if Flames general manager Craig Conroy chooses to pull the trigger
At this point, it seems that the likeliest option, if Kadri is indeed traded, would be the Montreal Canadiens.
The Canadiens need a second-line center, and they could benefit from a center who scores 30 goals per season. That would take the Canadiens to the upper echelon of Atlantic Division teams.
Unfortunately, this outcome would leave Toronto Maple Leafs fans shaking in their proverbial boots.
For now, the Flames have no reason to part ways with Kadri, and quite frankly, a trade at this stage would be shocking.
