Sunday night's game 1 between the
Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators did not go so well for the Senators, who were atrocious and undisciplined.
Ridly Greig hits John Tavares
At first, this was called as a five-minute major, although the referees did this so that they could eventually review it and see what was truly warranted.
After a while, it was revealed that two minutes in the box was more than enough. The Maple Leafs would go on to score during the ensuing power play.
After the game, it was reported by Chris Johnston that Ridly Greig would not receive any sort of supplemental discipline for his hit to the head.
The Senators now have to think about last night's game and how they can improve upon how they played. They were not good against the Leafs and something definitely has to change.
Of course, if you are a Leafs fan, you hope this trend continues. The Leafs themselves were phenomenal and they look like a team on a mission.
If they make this first round series a quick one, perhaps
the Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators won't be as scary in the second round.
