Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson is currently in arbitration with the team, and as it stands, some analysts out there are skeptical of the fit.
Nick Robertson is going to be one of the most intriguing players for the Toronto Maple Leafs this offseason, and a lot of it has to do with his arbitration.
As a restricted free agent, the forward had the right to take the Leafs to arbitration, and he exercised his rights to the fullest extent.
This means the forward is guaranteed to get a raise this summer. However, the Leafs are more than welcome to turn around and trade him for assets or another roster player.
Carlo Colaiacovo brutally honest about Nick Robertson
There has been a sense that there is simply no place for the forward on the team right now, and someone who seems to subscribe to that theory is Carlo Colaiacovo.
On TSN 1050 'First Up,' Colaiacovo made the claim that he doesn't even see Robertson making the top 12 next season. Instead, he believes Robertson would be the 13th forward.

Of course, if Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf are still on the team, then perhaps Robertson will get to stick around in the bottom six.
However, if the Leafs decide to bring in a better crop of players, then he may just be in for a world of trouble.
This offseason has been a stressful one for the Leafs, and with this Robertson ordeal, things are only going to get more difficult from here on out.
Hopefully, the Leafs can make a move that gives Robertson the opportunity he deserves, even if that is with another team completely.
