Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson has been looking for his opportunity, and with the regular season about to begin, he may have just been given a gift.
Nick Robertson and the Toronto Maple Leafs have been trying to find a sweet spot for a few years now, but it just hasn't happened the way fans have hoped.
Last season, Robertson managed 15 goals, but he did struggle at times, with head coach Craig Berube consistently putting the forward on the fourth line.
In the playoffs, Robertson was a frequent healthy scratch, and in training camp, it seemed as though the forward was about to get replaced by Easton Cowan.
However, an injury to Scott Laughton has made it so that Cowan's chances of making the Leafs are a lot slimmer. This has subsequently opened up an opportunity for Robertson to show off his skill.

In fact, many Maple Leafs fans believe that Robertson is a solid forward who deserves to be given a real opportunity inside the lineup. In fact, some want him on the second line.
