With the 64th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs selected Tinus-Luc Koblar, who appears to be a project of sorts.

When Tinus-Luc Koblar was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs, some were confused given the forward's lack of production in the Swedish Jr league.
However, he is 6'3" and plays the center position, which makes him someone that the Leafs could cling to over the coming years.
He is a project of sorts, and the Maple Leafs will be keeping tabs on him over the next few years.

Tinus-Luc Koblar on the Toronto Maple Leafs

Recently, Koblar was selected in the CHL import draft by the Brampton Steelheads. Unfortunately for them, it doesn't appear as though Koblar will be reporting to the team.
According to Terry Koshan, Koblar has confirmed that he will be staying in Sweden for the upcoming season.
Any chance Tinus Luc Koblar, selected by Brampton in CHL import draft on Wednesday, plays there next season? "No, I don't think so. I think I'm staying in Sweden."
At 17 years old, it is going to take a very long time before Koblar becomes a tried and true NHL talent.
In fact, there is no guarantee that he even plays a single NHL game. But, of course, that is the risk you take with these draft picks.
The Maple Leafs will be interested in what Koblar does in Sweden this upcoming season, and we're sure he will be a fixture at development camp for years to come.
Only time will tell whether or not this pans out for the Leafs, or if Koblar is a huge bust.
