Toronto Maple Leafs Analysts Provide a Solution to the Matias Maccelli Conundrum

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matias Maccelli does not have a line yet, and many Maple Leafs fans are wondering where the team will play him in the lineup.
Matias Maccelli is someone the Toronto Maple Leafs brought in as a bit of a surprise prior to the official start of free agency.
He was part of a low-key trade with the Utah Mammoth, with the Maple Leafs hoping that the forward's disappointing season was only a fluke.
Having said that, there is no telling where Maccelli will play in the lineup. He will probably end up in the top six, but there are plenty of risks involved.
Where will the Toronto Maple Leafs place Matias Maccelli?
According to Jay Rosehill and Nick Alberga of 'Leafs Morning Take,' last season was abysmal for Maccelli, and pairing him with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies could be too much pressure out of the gate.
Meanwhile, they suggest that it might be smarter to start him out with William Nylander and John Tavares, before giving a promotion.
Sooner than later, we're going to see Maccelli with Matthews and see if they can get some chemistry going.
Maccelli is probably going to be the most fascinating character on the Maple Leafs this season when you factor in his predicament.
Of course, the fans out there are going to be hoping that he has the best season of his career, and that last season truly was an outlier.
Having said that, he will have better teammates than he did in Utah. Tavares, Nylander, Matthews, and Knies would all help his production.
Only time will tell whether or not this move was a hit or a huge bust.
