The NHL Entry Draft is set to take place on Friday, June 27th, and the Toronto Maple Leafs will be looking to make a huge splash in an effort to improve the roster.
With the Draft coming up next Friday, general manager Brad Treliving and Director of Amateur Scouting Mark Leach have their work cut out for them.
With picks in the second, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds, it's not like the Leafs will be selecting a generational talent. Instead, they will be looking for diamonds in the rough.

This is not an impossible task, but it is certainly an unlikely one given the history of the National Hockey League. Whatever the case may be, fans are putting their faith in the team's front office.
On Wednesday, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun revealed the exact picks that the Leafs will be selecting from. They must wait until the 64th overall pick before making their first selection.
#Leafs picks in the 2025 draft: 64, 86, 137, 153, 185, 217. Welcome aboard, Mark Leach.
This is going to make things exceptionally difficult for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Thankfully, they have two picks in the fifth round, although whether or not those players ever put on a Leafs jersey remains to be seen.
Unfortunately, this reality hampers the team's ability to make trades. With a lack of assets, there won't be too many teams looking to do business with Toronto.
Overall, this is going to be one of the more difficult drafts for the Leafs in recent memory. It is also a huge welcome to the league moment for Leach, who is dealing with his first draft in this role.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can make do with what they have.
