Toronto Maple Leafs Make a Goaltending Change Against the Golden Knights

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been blessed with two solid goaltenders this season in Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll.

Overall, Stolarz has had the better stats, although there is no doubt that Woll has been able to hold things down as well.

Head coach Craig Berube has been alternating the goalies all season long and for the most part, fans still don't know who the starter is going to be when the playoffs come around.

On Wednesday night, the Leafs are in Las Vegas to take on the Golden Knights where they will look to bounce back following an unexpected loss to the San Jose Sharks on Monday.

Anthony Stolarz was in goal during that game and let in a few weak ones that raised the eyebrows of some understandably upset fans.

Tonight, Joseph Woll is getting the start, which should come as no surprise given the fact that we are only two days removed from Stolarz's last start.

Woll started against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday where he had one of his worst games of the season, letting in five goals during a thrilling overtime win.

The goaltender has a goals-against average of 2.70 and a save percentage of .907. Moreover, he has 21 wins to his name and a shutout to boot.

Overall, Woll has more playoff experience than Stolarz, but that does not mean much in the grand scheme of things. Once the postseason comes around, Craig Berube is likely to go with whoever's hot.

Either way, tonight is a big game, as fans want to see the Leafs go toe-to-toe and compete with a potential Stanley Cup contender.
