Last night's Toronto Maple Leafs win over the Ottawa Senators was a thing of beauty and today at practice, the team decided to make some lineup adjustments.
With the
Toronto Maple Leafs winning 6-2 against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday night, you wouldn't think that the team would be rushing to make some lineup changes.
However, that is exactly what the team did on Monday
as they took to the ice for practice. While the vibes were good at practice, head coach Craig Berube still wanted to try new things.
This was especially true as it pertains to his second and third lines which have been somewhat of a revolving door so far this season.
Case in point, Max Domi was moved from the second line back down to the third line where he will now play center with Nick Robertson and
Bobby McMann.
This is a line that did great work throughout the regular season and now, they have an opportunity to gel together all over again.
Knies-Matthews-Marner
Holmberg-Tavares-Nylander
McMann-Domi-Robertson
Lorentz-Laughton-Jarnkrok
Myers-Kampf-Pacioretty (Myers practicing as forward)
Rielly-Carlo
McCabe-Tanev
OEL-Benoit
Mermis-Hakanpaa
Woll, Akhtyamov
Absent (Stolarz)
Game 2 is going to be very interesting and the fans are definitely going to be in for a treat. If they win, then that means a 2-0 series lead going to Ottawa.
Of course, that doesn't guarantee anything. The Maple Leafs are a team that know this all too well at this point. However, they have a really amazing opportunity in front of them.
Hopefully, Game 2 is something to build off of and the good times just keep on rolling.
