Anthony Stolarz allowed four goals on 21 shots on Saturday night against the Ottawa Senators in an overtime loss that has a lot of fans worried.
Who is the Toronto Maple Leafs starting goalie tonight?
Thanks to Tuesday's morning skate, we officially have our answer as to who the starting goalie is going to be tonight.
In the end, head coach Craig Berube decided to keep the status quo alive as he has officially named Anthony Stolarz as the starting goalie in Game 5.
This is probably for the best when you consider how Woll has spent the entire series on the bench and hasn't been properly warmed up.
Throughout the playoffs so far, Stolarz has a goals-against average of 2.29 and a save percentage of .902. Of course, those stats looked a whole lot better after Game 3.
Tonight's game is extremely important and a loss could very well lose Stolarz his job, especially if he plays particularly bad. Ultimately, the Leafs are going to be hoping for the best.
A win puts them in the second round where their opponent would probably be the Florida Panthers. Although the Tampa Bay Lightning could always forge a comeback.
Whatever the case may be, this has been a tight series, even if the Leafs are up 3-1.
