Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson has been subjected to trade rumors for months, and according to Darren Dreger, an asking price is now known.

Nick Robertson and the Toronto Maple Leafs haven't been the best match so far. Last season, Robertson was a frequent healthy scratch despite his desire to play in the top six.
This season, Robertson has found himself on the top line with Auston Matthews, but only because of injuries. After a slow start, he has managed to heat up, with four points in 10 games.
He certainly has potential, but that potential has yet to be fully realized. As a result, there have been talks about trading Robertson, especially as the team is desperate for a solid top-six contributor.

Nick Robertson and the Toronto Maple Leafs are on the outs

That said, there has been some trepidation concerning a Robertson trade, as the Leafs do not want to get fleeced and wind up losing a deal.
According to Darren Dreger, if the Leafs were to give up on Robertson, they would immediately ask for a young player in return. Someone who is close to 24 years old, like Robertson.
Brad Treliving continues to explore the idea of moving David Kampf and Nick Robertson [...] The Maple Leafs are in no rush to move (Robertson) out. If they were to get the right sort of return for Robertson, it would be a player of similar age.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have shown interest in trading for young players like Yegor Chinakhov, although the Columbus Blue Jackets don't seem too interested in Robertson as a return.
This is a situation that general manager Brad Treliving is going to have to figure out, and fast. At the end of the day, the team needs to improve.
They sit at a record of 5-5-1 to start the season, and that could be a whole lot better. The Leafs need something good to happen to them.
A top-six forward would certainly be nice, but they will have to give up a lot more than Nick Robertson to make that happen.
