Toronto Maple Leafs Reportedly Refusing to Sign Players Until These Two Forwards Are Gone

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has a lot to figure out this summer, and as it turns out, there are two players he is desperate to trade.
Unfortunately, making those trades has proven to be exceptionally difficult, especially when you consider how the team is low on assets.
According to
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Maple Leafs have two players they would like to get rid of. Those players are David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok.
As Friedman explains, the Leafs will only start bringing in more players once Jarnkrok and Kampf are completely gone.
While that could take some time, the Leafs have made this one of their top priorities.
-One of the reasons they didn't get Mangiapane was they indicated they have to move some bodies out. He didn't want to wait, Roslovic is waiting.
-Friedman assumes one is Kampf another one can potentially be Jarnkrok.
-Another thing Friedman wonders is could they be trying to move a D for a forward. That was rumored with Peterka when they were weighing in on that situation. Didn't happen but that's something he thinks they've looked at.
-Thinks they will try to move some guys out and then bring some guys in.
Overall, the Maple Leafs are still a good team, but they have some holes to fill, and Brad Treliving is trying to get creative.
Ultimately, this summer is going to be a difficult one, but it is nothing the front office cannot handle.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can get some business done and get this show on the road.
