Who are the prospects targeted by Brad Treliving during his scouting of an OHL game?
Two names stand out as potential targets for Brad Treliving and it's Harry Nansi who is playing for Owen Sounds who has 16 points in 44 games.
Even if he is not the fastest skater, he's a hardworking two-way player who plays great on 200-foot and who fits Treliving's type of team he wants to build.
Given his 'C' ranking by NHL Central Scouting, Nansi is projected to be a mid-round pick and will align with Toronto's draft range if they keep their selections for the Draft and are not trading it.
Another prospect that might seem intriguing is Gabriel Smith who is a 6'3" defenseman from Owen Sound.
On his side, his production is limited to just two points in 41 games, but Smith is an offensively skilled puck-mover who utilizes his size very weel on the ice.
His 'W' ranking suggests he could be a late-round steal and that could be a target for Toronto's aging blue line.
In this case, Gabriel Smith could be a gamble that is worth trying for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
