Maple Leafs Analyst Destroyed by Fans After Disrespectful Comments About Mitch Marner

Toronto Maple Leafs analyst Sam McKee is being flamed online right now after taking aim at Mitch Marner, who made choice comments about the Leafs fanbase.
Mitch Marner recently sat down with Mark Masters of TSN, where he spoke about his decision to leave Toronto and why he felt it was the right time.
During that interview, Marner made some harrowing remarks about the treatment he and his family faced in Toronto. For instance, after losing in Game 7 to the Florida Panthers, the forward was subjected to death threats.
The forward hired security to stand guard at his home for two whole weeks. During that time, he didn't feel comfortable taking his dog for a walk or even bringing his newborn son outside.
Sam McKee goes off on Mitch Marner
While many Leafs fans empathize with Marner, there are some media members who are making a complete mockery of this.
One of those analysts is Sam McKee of Sportsnet, who took to X claiming that Marner is simply using the fans as a scapegoat and that he should take some accountability instead.
"One last blame of the fans for old time sake," McKee wrote. "Marner when he has a chance to blame Leaf fans instead of actually taking accountability for chronically underperforming in huge playoff games
Fans did not appreciate this analysis from McKee, as many found it completely distasteful. They also noted that this attitude is why Marner left in the first place.
