Maple Leafs and Oilers Linked in Potential Blockbuster Goalie Swap

The Toronto Maple Leafs have two stud goalies on their team, while the Edmonton Oilers had some struggles last season, and now, rumors are bubbling.
Now, the team must keep
Connor McDavid from signing elsewhere, and in order to do that, they must field a team that can go all the way.
If they don't get a new number one goalie, then there is a real possibility that McDavid walks away next Summer. Needless to say, things are getting dire for the Oilers.
According to a report from James Mirtle of
The Athletic, it appears as though the Oilers are very much aware of what the Leafs have.
They have been looking at Stolarz and Woll, while also contemplating what kind of package it would take to get something done.
As far as we know, Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has yet to take calls on his goaltenders. For all we know, they are not for sale. After all, two goalies is always better than one.
However, if the Oilers truly are desperate, and they are willing to put together a big package, perhaps the Leafs will pull the trigger on a deal.
The team is in desperate need of a new puck-moving defenseman, and they also need someone to play on the first line.
Whether or not the Leafs value these needs higher than their two goaltenders, still remains to be seen.
