O Canada was played at the 4 Nations Face-Off final between Team Canada and Team USA and turned out to be a truly awful rendition that was disrespectful to Canada.
Team Canada and Team USA are playing each other for the 4 Nations Face-Off championship tonight and fans could not be more excited.
O Canada disrespected at the 4 Nations Face-Off
However, the game started out pretty abysmally thanks to the anthem singer in charge of O Canada.
As you will see in the clip down below, the singer added her own flair to the track and even invented some lyrics on the spot.
Overall, it was a truly awful version of the anthem that has been destroyed all over social media, with Canadians describing just how much they hated it.
Not to mention, there were plenty of boos raining down all throughout TD Garden which certainly added insult to injury.
Ultimately, this is one of the biggest games in the history of hockey, and fans are energized for the match.
At the time of writing this, we are only just a few minutes into the game, and the score is already 1-0 for Team Canada. There is a lot of nervous energy right now but Nathan MacKinnon came through with a big goal.
This is a dream start for Team Canada, and now, Team USA is going to have to play from behind, which is not going to be easy.
However, Canada has been here before. They were up 1-0 on the Americans Saturday, but still lost the game.
If the team wants to ensure a victory, they will need a strong finish here from Jordan Binnington and the rest of the offense.
