Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews has been dealing with an injury since the start of the year and it seems as though both sides have come to an agreement.
The injury to Auston Matthews had the captain traveling all the way to Germany just so that he could get some sort of relief, however, it seems like it didn't work all the way.

Since returning to action, the forward has certainly scored some goals and has looked brilliant at times.
Luckily, after missing the last two games, Chris Johnston is reporting that the captain and the Toronto Maple Leafs are in agreement on what his injury is, and there is nothing that Matthews is hiding from the team.
The Maple Leafs and Auston Matthews seem to have a clear understanding of his current condition, with no concerns about hidden issues or any mystery surrounding other injuries.
The team is confident they know what he's dealing with and believe that with ongoing treatment, his healthiest stretch of the season is still ahead, not behind him.

However, the biggest issue plaguing the team right now is that both sides cannot agree on how to deal with the injury.
As we reported on Tuesday, Matthews is deadset on playing, although the Maple Leafs would prefer that he doesn't.
This makes a whole lot of sense when you consider that the captain is a competitor, and the team is just trying to preserve their asset for the playoffs.
The 4 Nations Face-Off is coming up, and as many have noted, Matthews should be forced to sit out.
