Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz had a rough game against the Detroit Red Wings, and it was because the guys in front of him dropped the ball.
Anthony Stolarz stopped 29 of 33 shots against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night. He faced an onslaught in the second period, and he was unable to keep the Red Wings at bay.
The Maple Leafs were good in the first period, but the rest of the game was a disaster, and it was a bad look all around for the group.
With that in mind, a lot of Maple Leafs fans are sounding the alarm on this team, and Stolarz cannot help but do the same.

While speaking to the media after the game, the goaltender noted that he hopes the Maple Leafs take this loss as a stark lesson.
The Maple Leafs were unable to get themselves up for this game, and that is a real problem. In Stolarz's mind, some of this has to do with the team playing down to their opponent.
It's a lesson for us. We have to come to play every night. It doesn't matter who you're playing.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a very good team, but when the team can't get up for a division rivalry, that is a real issue.
The team can certainly fix this going forward. However, with the Red Wings coming up on Monday, something needs to change, and fast.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can turn things around, and win their back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday.
As for Stolarz, the team needs to be much better in front of him, or else this season is going to be a mess.
