Craig Berube Goes Scorched Earth on the Toronto Maple Leafs After Terrible Loss to the Avalanche

Toronto Maple Leafs head head coach Craig Berube was not happy with his team on Saturday night after yet another bad loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
Craig Berube watched his Maple Leafs give up another lead on Saturday night as the Avalanche stormed back in the third period to win 7-4.
Toronto had not given up a third period lead all season up until Monday's game against the San Jose Sharks, but they have since done it two times in three games.
Craig Berube not happy with the Toronto Maple Leafs
After the game, Berube spoke to reporters and explained how he felt about the game and why the team ended up losing.
In his eyes, a lot of it just came down to mistakes, which the Maple Leafs were making a lot of on Saturday.
"It's just mistakes for me," said Berube. "It's a tough place to come in and play, and when you can hold a lead going into the third, we're right there to shut it down. Just gotta clean up the mistakes."
The head coach continued to harp on this point noting that they are going to be playing better teams as the playoffs approach and this means cleaning up their game.
"We gotta stop making mistakes because they capitalize on them," Berube added. "They're good teams, they're good players. We did a good job against MacKinnon tonight.
I know he got the power play goal, but we need more guys to step up and do a job. The mistakes gotta go; they have to get cleaned up because that's what's costing us right now, these last two games. It's just mistakes."

The Toronto Maple Leafs have now lost three games in a row and this is perhaps the worst time to start playing poorly.
Playoffs are around the corner and Craig Berube's squad is now losing its grip on the Atlantic Division title.
This is the worst scenario that could have taken place and the team is going to have to find its mojo soon or risk yet another first-round exit.
