Newly Acquired Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Called Out for Being Invisible Through Two Games

Dakota Joshua had a rough season with the Vancouver Canucks in 2024-25, but with the Toronto Maple Leafs, things haven't changed, even if it's still very early.
Overall,
Dakota Joshua is a tenacious player who never gives up, regardless of what his circumstances might be.
Before the start of last season, he was diagnosed with cancer. He beat, and came back to the ice in the same season. Unfortunately, it was an uphill battle, and the Vancouver Canucks traded him.
Now, he is on the Toronto Maple Leafs, and unfortunately, he is off to a shaky start that has some wondering whether or not he fits into this lineup.
Rough start for Dakota Joshua with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Against the Montreal Canadiens, the third line was practically invisible. On Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, it was just more of the same.
It led to numerous comments on social media, with many noting how the forward is getting paid $3.25 million per season, and isn't doing anything.
Of course, we are only two games in, and things can certainly change. But for now, it is not looking great when it comes to Joshua.
For now, the Maple Leafs are simply going to have to keep it pushing, and hope that Joshua is able to figure it out.
He played for Craig Berube out in St. Louis, and we're sure the head coach is going to continue to believe in his player, even if others won't.
It is going to be a long road ahead, but with back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday, Joshua has a chance to turn things around.
Only time will tell whether or not he can be the player the Leafs need him to be.
