Major Development at Maple Leafs Practice as Easton Cowan is on the First Line

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Easton Cowan has found himself on the first line at practice today, following a bad loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
This has opened the door for
Easton Cowan to make his NHL debut on Monday against none other than, you guessed it, the Red Wings.
Today at practice, Cowan's debut was all but confirmed, and it was done so in a big way. According to Nick Barden, Cowan was playing on the first line with
Auston Matthews and
Matthew Knies.
Knies - Matthews - Cowan
Maccelli - Tavares - Nylander
Robertson - Domi - McMann
Joshua - Roy - Jarnkrok
Blais
McCabe - Tanev
Rielly - Carlo
Benoit - Ekman-Larsson
Myers
Stolarz (on another rink)
Primeau
This is a huge decision from head coach Craig Berube, who clearly believes in Cowan enough to give him this kind of role.
Will Easton Cowan stay on the first line?
Easton Cowan may not even play on the first line tomorrow. He may end up on the third line, or even the fourth line, depending on how things shake out.
Perhaps he starts the game on the first line and then as time goes on, he makes his way down the lineup.
Whatever the case may be, this is going to be an interesting series of events, and we cannot wait to see if the young kid meets the opportunity.
This is absolutely huge for him, and we can only hope that he meets the moment.
