Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has a lot to think about these days, and at practice today, the lineup featured three forwards getting a large demotion.
Last night's
Toronto Maple Leafs loss against the Detroit Red Wings was a complete disaster, especially as the team crumbled in the second period.
Overall, this came as a surprise to fans everywhere, and it also saw some major line changes, particularly in light of
Steven Lorentz's injury.
Toronto Maple Leafs completely change their lines
As you can see down below,
Matias Maccelli was demoted to the second line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies.
It is a harsh reality and wake-up call for many players, but given the team's failures, it makes sense that this would be the case.
Knies - Matthews - Cowan
Maccelli - Tavares - Nylander
Robertson - Domi - McMann
Joshua - Roy - Jarnkrok
Blais
McCabe - Tanev
Rielly - Carlo
Benoit - Ekman-Larsson

On Monday, for Thanksgiving, the Maple Leafs will be in action against the Detroit Red Wings, and it should be a great game.
With Cowan making his debut on the first line, fans are in for a real treat. As for the demotions, this could all change as the season goes on.
Whatever the case may be, we will be watching. Only time will tell whether or not this Leafs team is up for the challenge.
