Brad Treliving is easily one of the most savvy general managers in the entire NHL, even if the fans want him to make more moves.
Overall, he is someone who is always doing right by his team, and this past Summer, we saw just how savvy he really is thanks to a plethora of incredible signings.
Now, fans are looking for a big trade. The
Toronto Maple Leafs need another player in their top-six to play with
Auston Matthews, and the only way to make it happen is with a blockbuster move.
This is easier said than done, although, according to numerous analysts, the Maple Leafs are indeed working on it right now.

According to James Mirtle of The Athletic, Brad Treliving is mulling over his options right now, and he is very interested in making something happen.

There are plenty of options out there for the Leafs. For instance,
Bryan Rust is a name that has been thrown around quite a bit.
We have also heard that
Filip Forsberg could be looking to move on from the Nashville Predators, and he would definitely be the perfect option.
As the season goes on, new players will enter the trade board, and once the trade deadline comes around, the Leafs will know if they are actually buyers.
Given what we saw in the first game, there is some potential here for a truly mega season.
