Easton Cowan is already becoming a superstar at the World Juniors for Team Canada

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is currently playing for Team Canada at the World Juniors and in his first game, he was able to score a goal vs. Finland.
Easton Cowan is a player that Maple Leafs fans are very excited about and for very good reason.
Right now, he is a the World Juniors, and in his first game of the 2024-25 campaign, he was able to get his team a goal.
Easton Cowan is making Team Canada better
Team Canada did not have a good campaign at the World Juniors last year, and players like Cowan are being tasked with avenging that.
In the first game, Canada was going up against a formidable opponent in Team Finland.
However, so far so good for Canada as they are up 4-0 in the third period and will very likely finish out with a win.
As for Easton Cowan, he scored a goal in the second period to give his team a 2-0 lead, and it was certainly a phenomenal shot.
The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect dealt with some injury issues prior to the tournament, so it is good to see him thriving.
Having said that, this tournament will be important for Cowan in showing the Maple Leafs organization what he is capable of.
It is very likely that his performance here could very well lead him to a spot on the Leafs next season.
For now, he will just have to continue playing at a high level and demonstrate that he can do this over the long haul.
