Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is trying to leave his mark on the team in training camp, but as it turns out, not all efforts are created equal.
Easton Cowan is one of the most intriguing players at Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, and for very good reason.
Cowan has been placed on the fourth line with
Steven Lorentz and
Scott Laughton, which has surprisingly led to a lot of chemistry and a bottom-six line that can actually score goals.
The prospect was even invited on the annual Muskoka trip, where it appears as though he was doing a splendid job building chemistry with his future teammates.

In fact, it was recently reported that Cowan was singing on the bonding trip, and it made a huge impression on the group, especially with the laughs.
Unfortunately, Cowan's talents did not impress head coach Craig Berube, who had a very simply message for the young forward.
He should just stick to hockey
Thankfully, Cowan's role with the Toronto Maple Leafs is not to be a singer. Instead, he is meant to be a player who can play some defense while also strengthening the offense of the bottom six.
Overall, we are very excited to see the rookie in action this season, and soon, we will know if he has made the opening night lineup.
Speaking of opening night, that will go down on October 8th, against the Montreal Canadiens.
