Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is doing everything he can to be on the team's opening night roster, and it seems like the hard work has paid off.
Easton Cowan has been at the top of everyone's mind at Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, as there has been a real hope that he will make the roster.
However, he has had tremendous chemistry with Scott Laughton and Steven Lorentz, which has led to lots of praise from head coach Craig Berube.
Easton Cowan ready for Toronto Maple Leafs debut
With about a week to go before the start of the regular season, the Maple Leafs have two preseason games left, and Cowan remains in the Top 12.
In fact, at practice in Muskoka on Wednesday, Cowan found himself on the fourth line. Once again, Michael Pezzetta, Nick Robertson, David Kampf, and Calle Jarnkrok were extras.
Based on the lines and the defensive pairings, it really does seem as though the Maple Leafs officially have their opening night lineup figured out.
