Toronto Maple Leafs Set Their Asking Price for Nick Robertson and Calle Jarnkrok

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving wants to make some trades prior to the start of the NHL season, and Nick Robertson is at the top of his list.
Nick Robertson, David Kampf, and Calle Jarnkrok are three players whose days with the Toronto Maple Leafs are very obviously numbered.
If you have been paying attention, you would know that Easton Cowan is likely to get the final roster spot, which puts the aforementioned three forwards in a tough position as fifth liners.
They will be on the inside looking in, and with some significant salaries, the Leafs would much rather trim the fat and get themselves some much-needed cap space.
What can the Toronto Maple Leafs get for Nick Robertson
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Toronto Maple Leafs have some very modest demands for a trade.
In fact, the team is simply looking for some draft compensation. Over the past few years, being buyers at the deadline has ravaged their draft stock. Trading Kampf, Robertson, and Jarnkrok could bring in a nice haul of additional assets.
The Leafs are believed to be looking for draft pick compensation in exchange for any of their available forwards, which may extend beyond the three already mentioned above.
Jarnkrok and Kampf are a bit difficult to trade as they have a 10-team no-trade list. Considering their talent level, it was a pretty bad idea to give them this level of trade protection, but alas, the Leafs must play with the cards they have been dealt.
Jarnkrok and Kampf each own a 10-team no-trade list as part of their contracts, and Kampf has another year remaining on his deal after this season while Jarnkrok is playing on an expiring contract and is eligible to become an undrafted free agent next summer.
This week and the weekend could be interesting, as we imagine general manager Brad Treliving will be picking up the phones in an attempt to get something squared away.
Ultimately, this is going to be a very interesting few days prior to the start of the regular season, which goes down in exactly one week.
