Nick Robertson is currently on the outs with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and for good reason when you consider how he is currently being treated by the franchise.
As it stands, the team has not committed to his role for the upcoming season. Instead, today's practice proved to us that the Leafs are prioritizing Easton Cowan.
With that in mind, Robertson might not be in the opening night lineup, which brings into question his future with the team. Some reports suggest he's already looking for a trade.
Well, there are plenty of teams that could use a forward like Robertson. This is especially true of young teams that are looking to build for the future.

That team would be none other than the San Jose Sharks. Of course, they have had a rough few years, but could always use a young goal-scorer.

It would make complete sense for the Sharks to make this trade, and we're sure the Maple Leafs would love to do business on this kind of thing.
However, it remains to be seen what the Sharks can offer. We saw the team give up Henry Thrun for Ryan Reaves. For Robertson, the Leafs could probably get some kind of draft capital.
Either way, the Robertson situation is one to watch over the coming days and weeks. We're sure the Maple Leafs will be making a decision, very soon.
