The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Detroit Red Wings tonight, and according to a new report, the lineup is likely what the team will go with come opening night.
There are only two more preseason games left for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and they are both against the Detroit Red Wings. Tonight's game is in Toronto, and Saturday's is in Detroit.
Having said that, the Maple Leafs are looking to get their top guys in game shape ahead of next Wednesday's season opener against the Montreal Canadiens.
That's why tonight's lineup was expected to be a preview of the opening night lineup. This would consequently give fans some insight into who is making the team.
According to Jonas Siegel, tonight's lineup is very heavy on the NHLers, and as you will notice, Easton Cowan is, indeed, on the roster for tonight's game.

Cowan's inclusion on the roster is certainly good news for Maple Leafs fans, although for some players, this is actually very bad.
