Ex-Maple Leafs Prospect Hit with Lengthy Suspension After Being Caught with Illegal Drugs in his System

A former Toronto Maple Leafs prospect by the name of Miro Aaltonen has learned his fate following an investigation from the Swiss anti-doping agency.
If you remember, about a month ago, former Toronto Marlies player
Miro Aaltonen was suspended indefinitely while playing for Kloten HC in the Swiss National League.

It has since been reported by the Swiss anti-doping agency that Aaltonen had been caught with cocaine in his system.
Due to his remorse and eagerness to get help, they have decided to be gracious with their suspension. Aaltonen will only get a month.
"In the media, the player has admitted to the allegations and announced that he will accept the consequences of his actions and seek help. Thanks to the athlete's cooperation, the case was handled as quickly as possible, which was in the interest of all parties.
In addition to the suspension, the player will have to pay a fine of 1,000 Swiss francs (approximately $1100 USD)."
Prior to the suspension, it had been revealed that Aaltonen had signed a contract with SC Bern.
Once the one month suspension is over, the hockey player will be able to join his new team officially.
This past season with Kloten HC, Aalton was able to score 20 goals and 35 points in 36 games.
His one season with the Toronto Marlies was a success as he won the Calder Cup while also getting 43 points in 64 games.
Despite his success in that one season, Aaltonen chose to spend the rest of his career in Europe, where he has played in both Russia and Switzerland.
