Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs lit up Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark for six goals on 24 shots and it has forced Travis Green into a decision.
Linus Ullmark is a great goaltender and
the Ottawa Senators have been lucky to have him this season. In fact, he is a big reason why they got into the playoffs.
It was one of his worst games of the entire season and it came at the worst possible time as the
Toronto Maple Leafs now have a 1-0 series lead.
Travis Green talks Linus Ullmark
After the game, Senators head coach Travis Green was asked about Linus Ullmark and his immediate future in net for the rest of this series.
Green was very matter of fact with reporters noting that Ullmark is not going anywhere right now and that they are going to ride with him for the time being.
The head coach even stated that Ullmark is a very good goaltender and that his resume appears to back up such a claim.
«He's won a Vezina. He's pretty good. There's no elephant in our room.»
Only time will tell whether or not the Senators can bounce back on Tuesday and tie up the series at one game apiece.
Overall, the Leafs are a very good team and they have lots of playoff experience when compared to the Senators, who are very young and wide-eyed.
No matter what, this is going to be an interesting and physical series that may just go the distance if the Senators can figure out their goaltending.
