Reporter Demands the NHL to Suspend Anthony Stolarz Immediately

Anthony Stolarz has been sensational in the NHL Playoffs so far but it has not come without his fair share of struggles thanks to certain players trying to make his life hell.

One of those players is Ridly Greig of the Ottawa Senators. Throughout the postseason, he has given Stolarz a lot of grief and it led to quite the altercation on Tuesday night.

The goaltender slashed Greig numerous times and eventually shoved him to the ground. It was pretty funny to watch and fans enjoyed Stolarz showing who's boss.

While the fans absolutely loved seeing this, there were some reporters who felt like there should have been some big consequences for the goaltender.

For instance, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic made the bold claim that what Stolarz did was so egregious that he actually needs to be suspended for it.

Saying a goaltender should be suspended for this kind of thing is absolutely bizarre. At the end of the day, they should be able to defend themselves.

Greig has been a menace throughout the playoffs and you have to expect people to put their foot down and do something about it, even if the retaliation isn't popular.

Regardless, Stolarz is playing good hockey right now and that is all Leafs fans care about. The team is up 2-0 in the series against the Senators and Game 2 is tied 1-1.

Only time will tell whether or not the Maple Leafs can go up 3-0 and finish this series off as quickly as possible.
