The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the most popular teams in the NHL, and with that in mind, the league is looking to maximize the schedule as much as possible.

With the NHL season set to begin in about six weeks from now, hockey fans are gearing up for what could be a truly epic season.
The Florida Panthers are favored to win it all again, while teams like the Edmonton Oilers and Las Vegas Golden Knights are also being given good odds to win.
As for the Toronto Maple Leafs, they are being counted out given the departure of superstar forward Mitch Marner. Regardless, the Leafs remain a marquee franchise.

Toronto Maple Leafs get some schedule changes

On Wednesday, the NHL decided to implement a few changes to the schedule, and as you can imagine, the Toronto Maple Leafs were part of it.
In fact, the Maple Leafs were subjected to a total of seven schedule changes. Most of them have to do with start times as opposed to date changes.
The changes were discovered by Steve Dangle, who posted a spreadsheet showcasing which teams were affected.
The NHL has released updated start times to a chunk of games this morning. Seven Leafs games are changed, including two at home.
Overall, these changes are quite minute and won't affect the Maple Leafs too much. The only ones truly affected are ticketholders who have to change their plans a bit.
Having said that, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to be a team to watch this season, and there won't be any shortage of coverage.
Training camp starts soon, and there is no doubt that the fans are excited to watch their favorite team in action following a disappointing playoff exit.
