Today, the first game in Boston was played between Team Canada and Team Finland in a match that could determine who goes to the Championship Game.
O Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off
Well, as it turns out, they did. In the video below, you can hear a few boos in the crowd during the anthem.
However, the boos were not nearly as loud as they were in Montreal, which just shows the American fans don't harbor as much resentment as the Canadians do.
Of course, there are very good reasons for this and the Canadian fans should be given some grace for their anger.
At the time of writing this, Canada is up 2-0 against the Finns and if they can hold the lead, they will be able to play Team USA in a rematch.
This would be fantastic for the NHL and it seems obvious that this is the outcome the league wants.
Overall, the tournament has proven to be massive successful for the NHL so far and one has to wonder if they will ever do it again.
Thankfully, NHL players will be at the Olympics next season. Not to mention, in 2028, we will be getting the World Cup of Hockey.
