Brad Treliving Delivers Bombshell Status Update on Max Pacioretty

Max Pacioretty was a stud for the Maple Leafs in the playoffs this past season, and fans were impressed with what they saw from the veteran forward.

Having said that, there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not the forward will retire. He is 36 years old and acknowledged that switching teams over the years has done a great deal of harm to his family.

However, it seems as though Pacioretty is willing to come back for at least another year. One report even suggested that the forward might just sign with the Detroit Red Wings.

On Thursday, Leafs general manager Brad Treliving spoke to the media, where he was asked about the Pacioretty situation. This led to Treliving recounting a conversation he had with agent Allan Walsh.

At this time, it would appear as though Pacioretty would like to make a comeback. Whether or not that comeback is with the Leafs still remains to be seen.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to be extremely busy on July 1st, although there is no telling whether or not they will actually make any big moves.

It is hard to attract players to Canada, as the market and the taxes seem to get in the way of doing great things. Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs find a way to change that.

Meanwhile, we just want Pacioretty to be happy. He is great to have in the locker room, but we respect any decision he makes with his family in mind.

And yes, we will still be saying that even if he decides to go to an Original Six rival like the Detroit Red Wings.
