Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving is eager to add some goal-scoring to his roster, and Chris Johnston just dropped some information on that endeavor.

Toronto Maple Leafs are already in the midst of the preseason, with the regular season beginning on October 8th.
Jarnkrok and Kampf have been a bit of a crisis for the Maple Leafs, as it appears as though there aren't any teams out there that want to budge.

However, a new report from Chris Johnston suggests that a trade is brewing and could happen in the near future.
Robertson, Kampf, and Jarnkrok are still on the roster, and as Johnston reports, the Maple Leafs are trying to change that sooner rather than later.
I get the sense the Leafs front office has looking at trading away some of the forward depth and haven't really been able to find anything that makes sense, which is why you still have all of Kampf, Robertson and Jarnkrok with the team
With the preseason underway, this is a time for teams to understand what they have and what they must change going forward.
Having said that, there is now a better chance that we do see a trade from Brad Treliving, whether or not we see it before the regular season remains to be seen.
Jarnkrok and Kampf are two players who will struggle for ice time this season, and trading them would certainly help free up some much-needed cap space.
Either way, fans will be paying attention, and their expectations will only increase the longer the time goes on without a deal.
