Coca Cola Coliseum is the home of the Toronto Marlies, and it was the scene of a major evacuation that had both teams feeling confused about the situation.
Tonight, the Toronto Marlies are playing against the Belleville Senators in an AHL rivalry game that fans have been very excited about.
The game is being played in Toronto at the Coca Cola Coliseum. After the first period, the score is 2-0 in favor of the Marlies.
However, there was a scary moment about halfway into the first period, which had some fans and even players fearing that something had gone horribly wrong.
Coca Cola Coliseum evacuated
According to the Marlies on X, the entire arena had to be evacuated following an alarm that went off throughout the building.
The Toronto Fire rushed to the scene, and there were fears that things could get out of hand. However, the quick response quickly led to the conclusion that it was a false alarm
Fans were eventually let back into the building, and the players ended up getting an extended warm-up before resuming the game.
We are happy that the Toronto Marlies, the Belleville Senators, and all of the fans are currently safe and sound following this situation.
It can be jarring to have this stuff happen, although it is good that the arena had everything under control and fixed it up fast.
Now, fans can focus on whether or not the Marlies can come away from this game with a victory.
The Marlies have a promising season on the horizon, and we look forward to seeing what else they can achieve, going forward.
