There have been rumors that Nick Robertson is done with the Toronto Maple Leafs, although after last night's game, that might not be so true anymore.

Nick Robertson is one of those players who has been consistently wrapped up in trade talks over the past couple of seasons.
The Maple Leafs have tried to make some moves involving the forward; however, no other teams have bitten. Instead, Robertson remains on the roster.
Throughout the first few games of the season, Robertson found himself stuck in the bottom six, which has been a huge catalyst for him wanting out of Toronto.
On Saturday, against the Buffalo Sabres, Robertson found himself on the top line with Auston Matthews and Bobby McMann, where he finally got his first goal of the season.

Nick Robertson earns the respect of Craig Berube

This was a huge performance for Robertson, who actually looked quite good on the top line. While it may not be a permanent spot for the winger, he did impress his head coach, Craig Berube.
The head coach revealed what he thought of Robertson's performance, and it was all extremely complimentary.
He did a good job. I thought he added energy to that line with his speed and ended up scoring a big goal for us, which is great.
These comments suggest that Robertson could remain with the team going forward, even if you thought that this just wasn't possible.
Overall, Robertson still has a lot to prove. One goal in eight games is not good enough. But this could get him on a nice little streak.
Only time will tell whether or not Robertson can stay in the top-six for the next few games. It would certainly be a great opportunity to prove himself.
