Today, Woll got to return to the ice with his teammates. Below, you can see the goaltender taking to the ice, and overall, it was a joyous occasion for the Leafs.
Afterwards, general manager Brad Treliving spoke with the media about Woll's return and what this is going to mean for the team, going forward.
The Leafs are implementing a return-to-action plan, and Treliving wanted to make sure that the media were informed of the exact timeline.
What's the plan for Joseph Woll?
Essentially, Woll still needs some conditioning and could play some games with the Toronto Marlies over the coming weeks.
However, the goaltender has been on the ice skating throughout his leave of absence, which is a good sign that he has stayed warm.
Leafs GM Brad Treliving says the plan for Joseph Woll is to get him up to speed. The goaltender will not speak today. Says the goalie has been skating every other day for the past few weeks. Not unreasonable to expect Woll to get some conditioning games with the Marlies.
This is all good news, and we are just happy to hear that Joseph Woll is on the verge of a comeback.
