Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube infamous won a Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues and he doesn't mind boasting about his time with the team.
Craig Berube has been the exact coach the Toronto Maple Leafs have needed. He is hard on the team and he makes them play defense.
With Chief at the helm, the Leafs have won themselves an Atlantic Division and they have also proven to be one of the best teams in the NHL all season long.
Now, they are set to face off against the Florida Panthers in the second round, and their series begins on Monday.
Craig Berube jokes about the St. Louis Blues
On Sunday, Berube's former team, the one he won a Stanley Cup with, the St. Louis Blues, will be playing against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 7 of the first round.
It has been a phenomenal series, and unsurprisingly, the media asked Craig Berube about his thoughts on his former players.
Hilariously, the head coach had a witty response in which he took much of the credit for the Blues' success. It was a funny moment that got a laugh from the media.
"I taught 'em well".
Of course, Berube is a humble guy and he was only joking. However, there is no denying that he is the type of coach to instill good values into his players.
That is exactly what he has done with this Toronto Maple Leafs team and he is the reason why they might actually get over the playoff hump this year.
Hopefully, the team can keep the good times rolling and give the Florida Panthers a shock in the second round.
