Brady Tkachuk Drops Bombshell Admission that Completely Changes the Maple Leafs & Senators Series

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk spoke to the media today and he revealed something that certainly changes how fans can interpret the Toronto Maple Leafs series.
Brady Tkachuk is one of the best players in the NHL and there was no doubt that the Maple Leafs were concerned about him in their series.
However, early in the series, the Senators captain was not as much of a factor as some had previously thought. As the series went on, he got a whole lot better.
Today, Tkachuk got to speak to the media for the end-of-year debrief and it led to an admission that is definitely going to raise some eyebrows.
Brady Tkachuk injured against the Toronto Maple Leafs
Essentially, he was dealing with an injury throughout the entire series. Originally, he had an upper body injury, as well as a hip injury that became a problem at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
However, the upper body injury is technically something he shouldn't have ever been playing through. This really makes you think.

No one seems to know what the injury is and that will probably continue for some time. However, you can't help but appreciate the honesty.
Some cynical fans might see this as Tkachuk trying to come up with excuses. That said, players always discuss injuries after the fact. This is nothing new.
As for the Toronto Maple Leafs, they will now have to deal with the Florida Panthers in the next round and that is not going to be easy.
Only time will tell whether or not they can overcome a team that is specifically built to rule the postseason.
