Linus Ullmark Hits Rock Bottom After Losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark did not have a great series against the Toronto Maple Leafs and now, he is facing the consequences of that.
Linus Ullmark is considered one of the best goaltenders in the entire NHL, however, he has struggled quite a bit in the playoffs and it is hard to ignore.
Now, the goaltender's NHL season is over and he has been looking to join Team Sweden at the IIHF World Championship.
Linus Ullmark denied by Team Sweden
Unfortunately, that will not be happening, as was reported by Bruce Garrioch, who has followed the Senators all season long.
Team Sweden reportedly rejected Linus Ullmark and were not interested in adding him to the roster, despite his status as one of the best Swedish goaltenders.
There is no telling why they chose to do this. Perhaps they felt he would be too tired. Or they watched the playoffs and got a little scared.
Ullmark's playoff career is pretty bad as he has a goals-against average of 3.28 and a save percentage of .885 which is a bit of an issue.
If you cannot play in clutch moments, then International competition probably isn't going to be the best place for you.
Hopefully, Ullmark can take the summer off and get himself back into the groove for next year. The Senators are depending on him.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking forward to a second round series against the Florida Panthers.
