Steven Lorentz Addresses his Former Florida Panthers Teammates With Some Fighting Words

Steven Lorentz has been one of the most beloved role players on the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, even if he hasn't scored or produced a ton.

His impact does not show up on the score sheet. In Round 1 against the Ottawa Senators, he didn't register a point. However, some would argue he was the most consistent player who was always delivering huge hits and some grit.

Now, the Maple Leafs are set to take on the Florida Panthers which just so happens to be the team Lorentz won the Stanley Cup with last season.

After practice today, Lorentz got to speak to the media about the upcoming series where he gave his feelings on what is about to go down.

He noted that he isn't friends with guys on the Panthers and that instead of friendship, he is seeking a war.

A war is exactly what this series is going to be and there is no denying that some Maple Leafs fans are very concerned about what is about to go down.

The Panthers are currently playing their best hockey of the entire season and they are doing so at the right time.

Only time will tell whether or not the Maple Leafs can be the underdogs and still win this series. It's definitely going to be an uphill battle.

However, the Leafs are a gritty team which is not something you could have said in year's past. Perhaps they will prove some people wrong.
