Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares was taken out by Artem Zub of the Ottawa Senators and Craig Berube has the scoop on how the forward is doing.
Now, the Leafs are up 3-1 in the series and fans will be expecting them to close out this series once and for all. Things are getting scary and the fans are a bit anxious.
Craig Berube on John Tavares
Today, fans were nervous about
Tavares' condition and whether or not he would be ready to go in Game 5, a pivotal game.
Well, according to Berube, everything should be good. He is not concerned whatsoever and the fact Tavares returned to the bench seems like an indication that all is well.
Craig Berube says he's not concerned about Tavares since he came back to the game.
None of the Maple Leafs said they saw Zub hit Tavares.
Tavares did not speak postgame.
Tavares not speaking to the media after the game isn't much of a surprise considering the Leafs probably want to protect their guys.
Today, they will be getting a day off as they travel back to Toronto and we wonder what must be going through their minds.
It is unlikely that they just give up a 3-0 lead, however, being 1-12 in series clinching games isn't exactly setting the world on fire.
Hopefully, this Maple Leafs squad is able to figure it out and get themselves right as the playoffs continue at the Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday.
