Fraser Minten was sent from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Boston Bruins in a trade for Brandon Carlo and now, the young prospect has some thoughts about it.

The Toronto Maple Leafs wanted Brandon Carlo at the trade deadline so they decided to move Fraser Minten and a first-round pick to the Boston Bruins.
The Toronto Maple Leafs wanted Brandon Carlo at the trade deadline and there was no doubt that he was on his way to some kind of success with the Leafs.

Fraser Minten breaks silence on Boston Bruins trade

However, the kid is now playing for the Providence Bruins and is looking to make his mark with a new franchise.
While speaking to Nick Barden of The Hockey News, Minten spoke about what it was like being traded and how he felt about all of it.
It was weird but fun It's strange being on this side of the ice, these benches, this dressing room. But it was cool to compete against those guys. Tough loss, and they'll be talking about it for a while.

People care about the team, people talk about the team. You don't get that everywhere. Luckily, Boston is pretty into it too, but it's special to play where people truly care.

It was a bit stressful, to be honest. You can go on PuckPedia and see the Leafs don't have many assets, so you know it's possible.

You're refreshing your phone all day, waiting. A stressful day, but once you get the news, you just try to pack quickly, make calls, answer texts, and move on to playing hockey.
The kid then spoke about the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and what he thinks of them.
He had nothing bad to say about the franchise and even noted just how classy everyone was when he was dealt.
Everyone from the Leafs and Marlies reached out. Guys from the Leafs, staff-everyone. It was really cool to see how many people were sad to see me go. It's nice to have those relationships.

Toronto is an amazing place to play hockey. The attention you get is a privilege and makes it really cool every night. People care about the team, people talk about the team. You don't get that everywhere. Luckily, Boston is pretty into it too, but it's special to play where people truly care.

We wish Fraser Minten nothing but the best of luck moving forward with his career.
He deserves success and we're sure he will find it as he continues to develop.
