Fraser Minten Just Made the Toronto Maple Leafs Look Like Fools

Former Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten is now playing for the Providence Bruins of the AHL and his latest performance is going to draw some eyeballs.
Fraser Minten was traded from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Boston Bruins last Friday at the trade deadline.
In return, the Leafs got Brandon Carlo who is supposed to add some much needed depth to the team's blue line.
While Minten was an impressive prospect with the Maple Leafs, there is no doubt that the team was looking to prioritize defense and as a result, he got the boot.
Fraser Minten a stud for the Providence Bruins
Upon being traded to the Bruins, the young prospect was immediately sent down to the Providence Bruins for an assignment in the AHL.
During his first two games, Minten was held to zero points but a lot of this can be chalked up to the fact that he is still getting acclimated to a new system and some new teammates.
Today, Fraser Minten was officially able to turn the tide with a huge hat trick against the Springfield Thunderbirds. In fact, it was a natural hat trick which is that much more impressive.
If you are a Leafs fan, you can't help but feel a bit hurt seeing stuff like this. Yet another kid who leaves the team and starts thriving.
The Maple Leafs are going through a bad spell of bad luck right now and this certainly does not help matters very much.
At the end of the day, you cannot dwell on the past and there is still plenty of time for this trade to work out for the Leafs.
Regardless, this is not the kind of news you want to be consuming when the Maple Leafs have lost five of their last six games.
