Maple Leafs fan-favorite gets second chance as Marshall Rifai gets demoted

The Toronto Maple Leafs are giving one of their fan-favorite forwards a second chance as defenseman Marshall Rifai has been sent back down to the Marlies.
Unfortunately, as Maple Leafs players have gotten healthier, Nikita Grebenkin has taken on a diminished role.
In fact, he was recently assigned to the Toronto Marlies, which left a lot of fans disappointed.
While he is by no means an offensive juggernaut, he is the type of player who fills you with a lot of hope and joy thanks to his hard work and attitude.
Thankfully, it appears as though Nikita Grebenkin is back with the Maple Leafs, at least for now.
This morning, the team announced that Marshall Rifai was being sent back down to the Toronto Marlies, while Grebenkin was being called up.
Tonight, the Maple Leafs are going up against the Anaheim Ducks at home, and it should be a lot of fun.
Just a few nights ago, the Leafs knocked off the New Jersey Devils in a game where they were dominated for 40 minutes. Thankfully,
Anthony Stolarz was a beast.
Meanwhile, the Ducks are a much weaker team, so the Leafs should be able to play a much better game.
As for Grebenkin, it is unlikely that he ends up in the lineup, but no one would complain if he was.
