Toronto Maple Leafs forward Steven Lorentz got injured on Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, and the Leafs are now in a bad spot because of it.
The Maple Leafs lost to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, but a game wasn't the only thing they ended up losing.
Steven Lorentz went down with an injury, as
Ben Chiarot caught him up high with a bit of a headshot that ultimately went unpenalized.
After the game, no diagnosis was given, although head coach Craig Berube didn't exactly do anyone any favors as he failed to give a prognosis on when Lorentz might return.
What's next for Steven Lorentz and the Toronto Maple Leafs
Today at practice, fans got yet another update, and again, it wasn't a good one. As it turns out, there is no timeline for the forward, and he likely won't play tomorrow.
No timeline on the injury and remains doubtful for tomorrow's game.
With Lorentz out,
Easton Cowan is slotting into the lineup, and just the Leafs' luck, he is going to be on the first line.
This is going to be a big game for the Maple Leafs, who need to put out of the stench of their last game, which was a stinker through and through.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs are ready to do something big, and knock off the Red Wings on Thanksgiving.
